Liberman says Shabbat bill ‘absurd,’ vows to do ‘everything’ to stop it
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleDefense Minister Avigdor Liberman calls the bill seeking to close minimarkets on Shabbat “absurd.”
He vows to do “everything we can to stop this law,” noting that his Yisrael Beytenu party will break with the coalition. Four of its five members will vote against the bill and one — Immigration Minister Sofa Landver — will not take part in the vote.
“We will work with our representatives in all municipalities to stop this,” he says.
