Mashaal, Iran parliament speaker meet in Qatar
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe head of Hamas’s political bureau, Khaled Mashaal, and Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani conclude a meeting in Qatar.
The two discussed the rehabilitation of Gaza post-war and the Egyptian and Israeli blockade on the Palestinian enclave, Ynet reports.
Larijani is in Qatar meeting with representatives of Gulf states on regional matters including the spread of the Islamic State and the crisis in Yemen.
He says Tehran’s assistance to the Iraqi people in confronting the extremist Islamic State group has prevented more countries from being threatened by IS terrorism, AP reports.
