Netherlands batter Israel in 12-2 World Baseball Classic win
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael’s national baseball team loses 12-2 to the Netherlands after eight innings in the second round of the World Baseball Classic.
According to WBC rules, the mercy rule is enforced once a team holds a lead of 10 or more runs after seven innings.
Israel will next face a tournament favorite in game three of round two on Wednesday. Israel’s chances to advance to the final round are considered slim after today’s loss.
