Police search IDF top lawyer’s office over Sde Teiman leak case — reports

Police conduct a search of the IDF Military Advocate General’s office over the ongoing investigation into the Sde Teiman abuse video leak, Hebrew media outlets report.

Meanwhile, Israel Police Commissioner Daniel Levy tells officers that until a decision by the High Court of Justice is made on the matter, any information on the investigation should be brought to him, outlets report.

Following the reports, police issued a statement that Levy ordered the investigation to be conducted in a secret, professional manner, amid several leaks to the media.

Authorities are investigating after former military advocate general Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi admitted to leaking a video to the media that purports to show IDF soldiers severely abusing a Gazan detainee at the Sde Teiman detention facility.
