Sarit Haddad sings ‘We are both from the same village’

Singer Sarit Haddad sings “We are both from the same village” at the Knesset memorial ceremony for Sharon.

The song remembers the war dead through the story of a soldier remembering his lost friend.

The song’s lines include: “We are both from the same village…. / I remember the battle that never ended / Suddenly, I saw how you broke / And when the dawn rose over the hill / I brought you back to the village / You see us here in the village / Almost everything remained the same / In a green field I pass / and you’re on the other side of the fence.”
