Sharon’s casket is arriving now at his Negev ranch, Sycamore Farm. Netanyahu and Peres arrived just minutes earlier, and Joe Biden a little before that.
The funeral area on Anemone Hill, where Sharon’s wife Lily is buried, is divided into three parts: invited VIP guests, including family, foreign dignitaries and all Israel’s top leaders, a second section for well-wishers and more distant relations, and a third for media and the public.

The funeral is open to the public. Some 600 members of the public have come to pay their respects, police say.
While the funeral is intended to be a more intimate setting than the official ceremony earlier today at the Knesset, the crowd appears to be larger, including hundreds of former friends and colleagues of the former premier.
