Sinai tourism reportedly drops by 10% since Metrojet crash
Egypt’s revenue from tourism to the Sinai Peninsula has dropped by nearly 10 percent since the crash of a Russian plane on October 31 2015, Reuters reports.
The Metrojet carrier’s passenger plane crashed shortly after takeoff. All 224 passengers and crew on board were killed in the crash, for which the Sunni terror group Islamic State claimed responsibility.
Egyptian authorities vowed to increase security in airports following the terror attack.
