Trump cancels Singapore summit with North Korea’s Kim

In an open letter to North Korea Chairman Kim Jong-un, US President Donald Trump announces the cancellation of a summit in Singapore that had been slated for next month.

“I was very much looking forward to being there with you,” Trump says in the letter. “Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting.”
