From Volkswagen recalling 11,000 cars in Israel
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleVolkswagen is recalling more than 11,000 vehicles in Israel for checks, in wake of revelations that the manufacturer had doctored tests of emissions in its diesel cars.
According to Channel 10 television, about half of the cars to be recalled are Volkswagen models, while the rest are SEAT and Audi, both of which are owned by VW.
Israeli VW owners are suing the German company via a class action lawsuit in a Tel Aviv court, seeking a total of 4 million shekels in damages, Army Radio says.
