‘We want coexistence’ between Jew and Arab, PM says

Netanyahu says he’s working to increase sentences for rock throwers and to outlaw the Islamic Movement in Israel, and that “there will be no immunity for those who incite” to violence.

“Yesterday we approved minimum prison terms for minors and their parents” over acts of hurling rocks and Molotov cocktails, says Netanyahu.

“We want coexistence” between Arabs and Jews in Israel, he says.

“Terrorism does not come from frustration over the lack of a diplomatic solution,” Netanyahu says, but frustration at the existence of the state.

He’s heckled by Meretz MK Issawi Freij, an Israeli Arab. Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein calls Freij to order.
