Bennett tells mourners at the funeral for terror victim Hallel Ariel that Israel will continue to implement its construction policies on both sides of the Green Line.
“We will build, in Sarona and Kiryat Arba, in Jaffa and Jerusalem, in Itamar and Beersheba,” he says.
Echoing a similar sentiment from Netanyahu earlier today, Bennett says there is no difference between jihadist terror attacks in Kiryat Arba and in Paris, and warns that anyone who does make a distinction “brings the next terror attack upon himself.”
He also pays tribute to Hallel, who was killed in her bed as she slept.
“You didn’t need to be here today. You should have been dancing or volunteering,” Bennett says. “You are a link in the chain of Jewish heroism standing up to anti-Semitism. Our enemies think they can break our history of living in Hebron. They are wrong.”

Help us report truthfully on social media
As a multimedia journalist, my job is to take the quality, fact-based journalism produced by The Times of Israel newsroom and make it accessible across every platform — from Instagram posts to podcasts to short-form videos.
This is how many, especially young people, consume news these days. But misinformation is rampant on social media. Our team at ToI produces accurate, responsible short-form reporting on Israel and the Jewish world.
If you believe in the importance of factual social media journalism, please consider joining our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community. Your financial support is essential to sustain responsible multimedia reporting.
