Cannabis and poppy found in the home of Hadera resident known to police for past drug offenses

A resident of Hadera was arrested on Sunday night when dozens of cannabis plants were found in his home, the Hebrew-language Walla news site reported on Monday.

The man, 59, was arrested on Sunday night when a search of his home turned up 76 cannabis plants and one poppy plant, from which heroin is made.

The suspect is known to the police for drug-related offenses.

He will be brought to the Hadera Magistrate’s Court on Monday for a remand hearing.
