A 12-year-old boy from the southern Bedouin town of Tel Sheva was found dead inside a closed refrigerator on Tuesday after being declared missing on Monday, according to a police statement.
Hebrew media reported the boy, Faraj Easem, was last seen on Monday near his home.
Police opened an investigation into the incident, though according to the statement, it was not being treated as a crime.
The child’s body was sent for forensic examination, the statement added.
Ynet reported that police suspect Easem entered the refrigerator, was unable to get out and suffocated inside.
