New Hope MK Zvi Hauser said Thursday he was hospitalized after suffering a “mild neurological event” at the Knesset a day earlier.

“Last night during the Knesset debates I felt bad, and after I went to the hospital it became clear I had experienced a mild neurological event,” Hauser tweeted, without elaborating.

“Thanks to the quick response of the medical staff at the Knesset and exemplary treatment by the doctors at Hadassah Hospital, I am feeling good and will return to work in the next few days,” Hauser said.

Hauser’s was not the first medical emergency suffered by a lawmaker this week that resulted in hospitalization.

On Sunday, Joint List MK Ahmad Tibi was rushed to the hospital to remove kidney stones. After feeling unwell, Tibi was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove the kidney stones. The surgery was successful, according to the hospital.
