American comedian Jay Leno attempted to steal a smooch from Israeli beauty Bar Refaeli on Wednesday night, but ended up kissing her nerdy counterpart from the notorious Super Bowl ad for GoDaddy.com.
Refaeli swapped her nerdy kiss-mate, Jesse Heiman, just as Leno puckered up to buss her. When asked whether Heiman was a good kisser, Refaeli quipped back at Leno: “You tell me.”
Heiman, for his part, told the New York Daily News that necking with Refaeli in the more than 40 takes to film the 30-second commercial “was like kissing paradise. Like kissing God’s hands.”
Despite decidedly bad press for the ad, which many picked as the worst of the 2013 crop, GoDaddy.com benefited grandly from the commercial.
According to statistics provided to Mashable, the company added 10,000 customers from Sunday to Tuesday, with hosting sales jumping 45 percent, dot-com domain sales hiking 40%, and new mobile customers increasing by 35%.
