US viral pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter delighted an Israeli audience member at her concert over the weekend when she picked him out of the crowd for being “too hot,” and asked him how his name is spelled, having never heard it before.

Israeli fan Almog Shafrir was filming Carpenter’s performance from the front row when she singled him out from the crowd during an audience participation routine between songs and told the audience that she “might have just found my husband.”

“You, in the front row with the curly hair,” the 25-year-old said from the stage, pointing at an audibly shocked Shafrir, who responded “What? Me?”

She then asked him what his name was, and, appearing unfamiliar with the fairly common gender-neutral Israeli name, asked him to spell it.

After repeating the spelling back to him and saying his name several more times, to wild cheers from the audience, she told Shafrir that she was dedicating the next song to him.

Shafrir posted his video of the encounter on TikTok, and it quickly got hundreds of thousands of views. He described it as “the highlight of my life.”
