An Israeli teenager was moderately injured while putting up a tent during a tryout for a combat unit in the military on Sunday, the army said.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The military said he was hit by a metal post putting up the tent.
According to the Ynet news site, the teenager lost two of his fingers in the accident.
The teenager was taking part in a day-long tryout for a volunteer-only combat unit, known in Hebrew as a gibush.

The army said the teen’s family was notified of the accident.
These types of tryouts are used by certain infantry, reconnaissance and special forces units.
Last year, another teenager suffered a head wound during a tryout for an elite naval unit.
He was taken to the Rambam Medical Center in the northern Israeli port city for treatment.
