Tel Aviv city hall lights up for the penguins
Greenpeace says symbol of animal will be shared worldwide as part of its campaign to establish Antarctica nature reserve

Tel Aviv’s city hill lit up with the image of a penguin on Saturday to mark Greenpeace’s Penguin Awareness Day.
In a statement, the environmental group said the image displayed in lights on Tel Aviv’s city hall would be shared worldwide as part of its campaign for the creation of a nature reserve on Antarctica’s shores.

Greenpeace said the proposed nature reserved would be five times larger than the size of Germany and be a protected area for “penguins and their friends the seals and wales.”
The city halls’s lights are often used to show solidarity with different causes or following terror attacks around the world.
