Egyptian news outlets report the man’s body was recovered from the Mediterranean

The body of an Israeli man was recovered from the Mediterranean Sea near the beach town of Sheikh Zuweid, close to el-Arish in northern Sinai, Egyptian news outlets reported on Thursday.

The independent Egyptian newspaper El Dostor Alasly reported that NIS 430, five dollars and an Israeli driver’s license were found on the body. The body was transported to a morgue in el-Arish, and Egyptian authorities reported the incident to Israeli authorities.
The circumstances of the man’s death were unclear.
Meanwhile, in Nepal, a 26-year-old Israeli backpacker fell to his death from a bridge on Thursday morning. The Foreign Ministry said it would bring the body back to Israel.
