Two men were moderately injured on Wednesday morning during the siren marking Memorial Day, when one car slammed into another that has stopped to observe the moment of silence.
The incident took place on Route 2 near the town of Rishpon, according to Maariv. As the siren began, a driver stopped and got out of his vehicle along the left side of the road to observe the two minutes of silence.

A second car came from behind a crashed into the first, resulting in injuries to both drivers, who were evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba for treatment.
The accident comes after two similar car accidents that occurred during the Holocaust Day siren last week.

Also on Wednesday,Ynet news reported that two Ramle youths were arrested on Tuesday night after neighbors complained they were setting off fireworks during the Memorial Day siren. They were subsequently released to house arrest pending an investigation.
