IDF troops killed a Palestinian terrorist who opened fire on their patrol, near the Erez crossing, on the Gaza border Friday afternoon.

According to Army Radio, the soldiers returned fire at the terrorist after they spotted him approaching the border and opening fire on them.

No casualties were reported on the Israeli side.

On Thursday, Border Police troops shot at two men who attempted to cross the Egyptian border, killing one and injuring the other.

The two were reportedly residents of Gaza and the military is investigating whether they were involved in terrorist activity or a smuggling operation.

The injured man was airlifted to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, in moderate condition.

Last month Gaza terrorists killed an Israeli defense ministry employee on his way to work on the border fence construction project.
