After “Uptown Funk” star Bruno Mars sold out his October 4 show in Tel Aviv in just two hours, promoter Live Nation Israel added another performance for October 7 in the city’s Yarkon Park.
Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster Monday morning at 9 a.m., and fans can also sign up until 4 p.m. Sunday for the waiting list that allows for early purchase.
There are approximately 50,000 places available in Yarkon Park. Last week Guns N’ Roses sold out the outdoor venue.
The Grammy Award-winning — 15 so far — Bruno Mars has a string of well-known hits, including “That’s What I Like,” “Treasure,” “Uptown Funk,” and “Just the Way You Are.”
Mars, born in Hawaii, has Jewish lineage through his half Puerto Rican-half Jewish father who is originally from Brooklyn, New York. One grandparent, of Hungarian and Ukrainian descent, was reportedly a Hebrew teacher.
He’s known for his stage performances and showman style, and for singing and producing pop, R&B, funk, soul, reggae, disco and rock songs.
