Esther Brog, mother of Ehud Barak, dies

Polish-born resident of Kibbutz Mishmar Hasharon was 100 years old

Esther Brog, mother of former prime minister and defense minister Ehud Barak, died on Monday. She was 100 years old.

Brog was born in Poland and made aliyah to Israel in the early 1930s with fellow members of the Gordonia youth movement. She was among the founders of Kibbutz Mishmar Hasharon, where Barak grew up.
