1,731 new coronavirus cases reported over past 24 hours
New Health Ministry statistics show 1,731 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of infections since the pandemic began to 87,878.
The ministry reports six more deaths since the morning, raising the national toll to 639.
Of the 25,614 active cases, 369 people are in serious condition, with 110 on ventilators. Another 156 people are in moderate condition and the rest have mild or no symptoms.
The ministry says 27,555 tests were performed yesterday.
