Activists demand full inquiry into ‘Yemenite Children’s Affair’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleHundreds of activists gathered in central Jerusalem to protest what they say is the government’s insufficient response to the decades-long controversy known as the “Yemenite Children Affair.”
The activists are demanding a full inquiry into the alleged kidnapping of Yemenite immigrant children by Israeli authorities in the 1950s.
Disputed by scholars and seemingly refuted by probes, the case keeps resurfacing, not least because most of the families were not given their children’s bodies or informed of their burial places.
