Meteorological services warn of stormy weather throughout Israel starting tomorrow, saying heavy rains and strong winds could cause floods and uproot trees.
“We see the weather going to be very complex tomorrow,” meteorologist Tzachi Waxman of Meteo-Tech tells Ynet. “The first phase in the morning will include widespread rain along with thunderstorms or even hail, potential floods, and we could see unusually powerful phenomena compared with what we’re used to.”

The storm is so potent because cold air reaching the area will mix with the current hot autumn weather, creating the strong winds, Waxman adds.
He says winds could reach 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph), tree branches could fall off and trees could even be uprooted and cause damage. Floods are a particular concern in the Negev Desert in the south and along the coast.
Authorities call on the public to follow media reports and police orders, to refrain from hiking in flood-prone areas and refrain from driving on flooded roads.
