Bomb at Manchester stadium not ‘viable,’ but ‘lifelike’
Police say that a device found at Manchester United’s stadium before a Premier League match “wasn’t viable,” but looked like it could be.
Greater Manchester Police also say in a tweet that a full search of Old Trafford is ongoing.
In another tweet a few minutes earlier, the police force had described the item found as an “explosive device” that was “incredibly lifelike.”
Bomb disposal experts had carried out a controlled explosion on the item.
