Gazan gets 15 years for ‘spying’ for Israel

A 26-year-old Palestinian man from the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip is sentenced to 15 years in prison for allegedly spying for Israel.

In a statement released Wednesday, Hamas says A.H, 26, was convicted of “spying for the occupation,” AFP reports. The details and time frame of the alleged espionage was not mentioned.

“Collaborators,” as they are known to Palestinians, have routinely been executed by Hamas. It is unclear what the circumstances of this specific case are.
