‘Iran to get S-300 air defense systems by year’s end’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan says his country will receive advanced Russian S-300 air defense missile systems by the end of 2015.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, Moscow has agreed to sell the system — which would mark a dramatic upgrade to Iran’s air defense capabilities — despite pressure from the US and Israel.
Dehghan adds that Iran also plans to purchase advanced fighter jets from Russia.
