Lapid urges Gaza rehabilitation
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael must establish a committee comprising several regional powers in order to discuss the rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip, Finance Minister Yair Lapid says, according to Ynet. Lapid also says that the committee must demand that Hamas be demilitarized, and assure that Israel’s security concerns are sufficiently addressed.
“Our demand is quiet and security for the residents of Israel, and it is not for nothing that the delegation to Cairo includes only members with an understating in security,” he says during a visit to the Sapir College near the southern town of Sderot.
“That is the requirement of Israel, security.”
