Lapid weighs in on PM-Herzog fight, takes middle road

Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid calls on Herzog to condemn the activity of Breaking the Silence.

“It is a disgrace. The group Breaking the Silence is harmful to the IDF and spreads lies against our fighters, who are also our children. It would be appropriate for MK Herzog to support soldiers of the IDF instead of radical left-wing organizations,” he says in a statement.

Lapid also refers to incitement against President Reuven Rivlin and says the “prime minister cannot continue with issuing half-hearted condemnations in order to pay lip service. The time has come for him to protect the president loudly and clearly, to condemn those who incite and clarify that he does not support them in any way,” he says.
