Trump, Pence condemn bomb threats as ‘cowardly’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are condemning “attempted attacks” against former president Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and CNN.
Pence tweets: “These cowardly actions are despicable & have no place in this Country.”
He thanks law enforcement and adds: “Those responsible will be brought to justice.”
Trump afterward shares Pence’s tweet, writing: “I agree wholeheartedly!”
The US Secret Service said today that it had intercepted a bomb that was addressed to Hillary Clinton and also discovered a possible explosive that was sent to Obama. Also today, a police bomb squad was sent to CNN’s offices in New York City and the newsroom was evacuated because of a suspicious package.
