Netanyahu appointees reveal plan to address Druze anger over nation-state law
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA team tasked by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with addressing the Druze minority’s complaints over the recently passed nation-state law reveals a draft of its plan to enshrine the community’s status in law.
The plan includes a number of elements, among them passing legislation anchoring the status of the Druze and Circassian communities in law; providing benefits for members of minority groups who serve in the security forces; and recognizing the contribution in defending the state.
