Nine police hurt in Shuafat raid

Fighting in the Shuafat refugee camp has left nine Israeli police injured as they attempted to raid the home of a terrorist who stabbed a student in Jerusalem earlier in the day, Israeli media reports.

Palestinian Wissam Faraj, 20, was killed during the clashes, and several other Palestinians were injured, according to Palestinian reports.

Faraj was shot in the heart with a hollow point bullet, the Ma’an news agency reports.

Fighting is reportedly ongoing in the refugee camp, which is part of Jerusalem but beyond the security barrier.
