Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomes US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and chief Middle East adviser, Jared Kushner, to his office in Jerusalem.
“This is an opportunity to pursue our common goals of security, prosperity and peace, and Jared I welcome you here in that spirit, I know of your efforts and the president’s efforts and I look forward to working with you to rech these common goals,” Netanyahu says.
He goes on to say that Trump’s visit to Israel last month was “historic trip, with fantastic warmth, and made an indelible impression on the people of Israel.”
Kushner in response tells Netanyahu that Trump sends “his best regards and it is an honor to be here.”
Attending the meeting is US ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who tells Netanyahu “I missed you, It wasn’t the same in the States without you.”
