Police searching for suspicious ‘knife carrier’ in central Jerusalem
Police have spread out in large numbers in central Jerusalem to look for a suspicious person after being tipped off about a man with an object that looked like a knife.
A Times of Israel editor on Keren Hayesod street in the capital’s downtown reports that some 12 police cars are parked with officers asking people if they saw anyone suspicious.
Israelis have been urged by officials to be extra vigilant after a string of stabbings over the last several days, including one on Thursday morning.
