Israel Railways announces it is suspending some train services in the south ahead of expected retaliatory rocket fire from Gaza.

“Due to the instructions from the security forces, trains will not operate until further notice between the Netivot and Ashkelon stations, and the Sderot station will remain closed,” the railways say.

However, trains will continue to run between Netivot and Beersheba, and from Ashkelon northward.
