The Jewish holidays are over, but the party keeps on going this week with low-cost movies during Movie Time 2016, which falls on Thursday, October 27, when dozens of movie theaters nationwide will offer tickets for NIS 10 ($2.60) a pop.

It’s the fourth time that some 40 Israeli theaters will participate in the annual cheap ticket day, (3D and 4D films cost NIS 14 — $3.60 — apiece), including the YES Planet chain, Cinema City, Rav Chen, Lev and Globus Max.

All movies currently in the theaters are part of the NIS 10 deal, as well as several films that are set to open on Thursday.

The new films include Ben Affleck’s new film “The Accountant,” the long-awaited “American Pastoral,” based on Philip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, and Rama Burshtein’s comic “Through The Wall.”

Some 200,000 viewers attended films on the last Movie Time day, according to Danny Kafri, the director of the Cinema Industry Association. Kafri said the idea of the annual NIS 10 movie day is to celebrate the love of film and offer the opportunity to all Israelis to access the movie theater experience.
