Nazi graffiti found on wall of Bat Yam synagogue

Slogans and swastikas also spray-painted on nearby school

Nazi slogans and swastikas were spray-painted on the wall of a synagogue and at a nearby school in Bat Yam over the weekend, Israel Radio reported Sunday.

Police opened an investigation.

Bat Yam is located along the Mediterranean coast, just south of Tel Aviv.

In late March, a similar incident took place in Jaffa, when anti-Semitic slogans and symbols were spray-painted on a number of houses and stores.

Last July, two swastikas and graffiti in Arabic were spray-painted onto the home of Jewish residents in the the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Residents there said at the time that it was not the first incident of the sort they had suffered.
