Bus carrying students collides with a truck in southern Israel
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA chartered bus and a truck collided in an intersection near Beit Guvrin in southern Israel on Wednesday, leaving 1 dead and 28 injured.
The bus driver was trapped inside the vehicle and died of his wounds, despite attempts by paramedics to save him. The bus was carrying 27 students, all of whom suffered minor injuries.
The truck driver was severely injured and was evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheva.
A paramedic on the scene said that the road conditions were “difficult and unclear.”
