Avraham Nachum Dor, 9, was killed and five members of his family, including three children, were injured when their family van flipped over near Goral Junction, just north of Beersheba and smashed into a cliff.

According to police reports, the family, which lives in the Betar Illit settlement just outside of Jerusalem, was returning from a vacation in the southern part of Israel, where they spent the first intermediary days of the Sukkot festival. The injured were evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.
A police investigation was launched to determine the cause of the accident.
