Obama dozes during UN chief’s speech

Secret Service agents sent home, suspended after drinking in the hotel during the president’s Netherlands visit

Three Secret Service agents tasked with guarding President Barack Obama during his visit in the Netherlands were sent home with heads bowed, after a wild night of drinking while on duty, the Washington Post reported.

One of the agents was found passed out in the hotel hallway. The three were put on a plane back to the US and put on leave. They violated a rule under which guards are not allowed to consume alcohol within 10 hours of being on duty.

And it seems the late-night festivities took its toll on Obama as well: The US president was caught on camera nodding off during UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon’s opening address at the nuclear summit in The Hague Monday.
