The state must pay 250,000 shekels in compensation to Yishai Greenbaum for injuries he suffered at the hands of a border policeman during the evacuation of the Amona outpost in 2006, the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court ruled Wednesday.
Hundreds of people were hurt at Amona — protesters and security forces alike — in the violent evacuation of the West Bank outpost.
The beating that Greenbaum received caused him injuries that a court later determined represented a 10% handicap.
The border policeman, Mordechai Mehager, later claimed that security forces were instructed to use violence to subdue protesters at Amona.
