A swimsuit commercial featuring Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli has been censored by Israel’s commercial television authority.
The censored ad for Hoodies swimwear, in which Refaeli is frolicking on the beach, can only be shown after 10 p.m. Close-ups of Refaeli’s backside and a section in which she appears to be completely nude must be deleted, the Second Broadcasting Authority for Television and Radio said over the weekend.
The commercial has been shown in its entirety on social media.
Refaeli was three months pregnant when the commercial was filmed.
It is the second Hoodies commercial starring Refaeli that has been censored by Israeli authorities.

In April 2014, an ad featuring Bar Refaeli in bed with a purple, mustachioed Muppet was banned from running before 10 p.m. after the authority determined it had “too many sexual insinuations” to be seen during prime time.
Help us report truthfully on social media
As a multimedia journalist, my job is to take the quality, fact-based journalism produced by The Times of Israel newsroom and make it accessible across every platform — from Instagram posts to podcasts to short-form videos.
This is how many, especially young people, consume news these days. But misinformation is rampant on social media. Our team at ToI produces accurate, responsible short-form reporting on Israel and the Jewish world.
If you believe in the importance of factual social media journalism, please consider joining our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community. Your financial support is essential to sustain responsible multimedia reporting.
