Fleeing Syrians cross briefly into Israel

IDF soldiers intercepted a group of Syrians who crossed the border into Israel Tuesday and sent them back to their home country. There were no reports of injuries in the incident.
The group comprised about a dozen Syrian civilians, apparently shepherds who were fleeing from heavy fighting in the area.
Battles have been raging over the past two days in the Syrian Golan Heights near the village of Jubata A-Khashab.

In a separate incident, a Syrian who suffered a hand injury from an exploding shell was brought across the border into Israel and taken for treatment at the Ziv Medical Center in Safed.
Israel has treated some 120 Syrians wounded in the civil war that has raged across the border since March 2011.
