Fox News is slamming GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump for his repeated tirades against anchor Megyn Kelly on Twitter.

The network says in a statement that Trump’s “vitriolic attacks” against Kelly and “his extreme, sick obsession” with the anchor are “beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land.”

It praises Kelly as an exemplary journalist and one of the leading anchors in America and says the network will continue to support her “throughout every day of Trump’s endless barrage of crude and sexist verbal assaults.”

Trump has upped his attack on Kelly since Tuesday’s primaries, calling her “crazy” and “the most overrated person” on television.

Trump’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
