IDF troops come under fire south of Jerusalem

One soldier very lightly wounded near Efrat, treated at scene; forces combing area for shooter

A soldier was lightly injured by gunfire during an overnight operation south of Jerusalem, the army said Tuesday.

During an operation in the West Bank, troops came under fire near the settlement of Efrat, in the Etzion settlement bloc.

One soldier was very lightly wounded and treated at the scene.

IDF soldiers were combing the area looking for the gunman or gunmen, the army said.

Also overnight, IDF forces arrested four wanted men suspected of rioting against civilians and security forces.

Two were arrested in Kfar Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, and two in the Etzion area.
