An Israeli tourist in Slovenia was missing and feared dead after being swept away by rapids while rafting on Sunday.

The man, 40, was part of a group of four Israeli travelers, three of whom managed to swim to safety after their raft hit a rock and was damaged, Ynet news reported.

Police and rescue services in the Central European country conducted a large search for the tourist Sunday, but called off the operation after nightfall.

The man’s helmet and clothing were found, leading to fears he may have drowned, according to a family member of one of the other tourists, Ynet reported.
