100,000 Israelis going to Turkey despite terror threats
More than 100,000 Israeli tourists are heading to Turkey over the Passover holiday, despite repeated warnings by the Israeli government to avoid the country at all costs due to an ongoing terror threat, Channel 2 reports.
Turkey is the most sought-after destination among Israelis next week, the TV report says. The number of Israeli tourists is up 15% from last year.
Most of the tourists are Arab Israelis, the report says. And most will travel through Istanbul en route to their destinations.
