Arab businesses, schools announce ‘al-Aqsa’ strike
The Arab Higher Monitoring Committee, an Israeli Arab umbrella group, announces a general strike in the Arab community beginning Tuesday in protest at what it claims are Israeli plans to divide the Temple Mount – a charge Israel vehemently denies.
Businesses and schools are expected to close “to identify with the al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Arab leaders call for a mass demonstration in the Arab town of Sakhnin on Tuesday.
